The best bacon sandwich I have had in my life. Amazing bread and pastries, and some character.
Looks good from the outside but mixed reception and food quality inside. Husband had mushroom soup which he really enjoyed but my cheese scone was possibly yesterday's . I wanted to ask to get it toasted or warmed but felt that the reception would not have been good. Staff need to be more friendly less abrupt..
If you are in Cowes, look out for this great place. A bakery with communal seating. Make your own toast, grab a big chunk of butter, a giant bowl of jam, newspaper and eat away. Lots of sandwiches (think giant panini's), cakes, scones. Good coffee, excellent friendly service. Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. You can also buy their jams chutneys and coffees.
Popped I'm for a take away bacon cob. Wow. Freshly baked cob and freshly cooked bacon, proper butter. The best way to start a Sunday morning. Will definitely be popping back in for some of their other delicious looking baked goods.
Really surprised at some of the reviews, we found both members of staff friendly and chatty. The bread was delicious as was the homemade condiments. Great concept, with sharing pews and bread boards as plates. Left with happy full tummies and being in the catering trade myself, I'm hard to please!
